Account Manager

Purdum Gray Ingledue Beck Insurance and Investments is an independent insurance agency that is seeking to hire an Account Manager to work in our customer focused agency. This position is responsible for providing high quality customer service for current clients and new business prospects, and identifying cross-selling opportunities with existing policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages an assigned book of accounts by actively servicing and retaining clients
  • Works with producers to market to prospects and prepare proposals
  • Manages the submission and rating process to obtain timely and accurate quotes with a variety of carriers
  • Processes quotes, applications, and issued policies for various lines of business
  • Utilizes an agency management system with a high level of attention to detail
  • Cross-sells additional products needed by current customers
  • Processes customer policy changes and reviews policies for accuracy
  • Understands insurance coverages and has the ability to explain key information to customers
  • Assists clients with a variety of tasks, including claims submissions and research, reviewing coverages, preparing proposals, discussing coverage needs, etc…
  • Processes customer payments and invoicing
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience:  Insurance 2 years, Any Customer Service Environment 2 years

Requirements for hired individual:

  • Obtain Illinois Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Obtain Illinois Life & Health Insurance License
  • Ongoing Continuing Education
  • Available full-time
